THIS IS A DAY TRIP TO TRAVNIK

For a long time this was the capital of Ottoman Bosnia and Herzegovina - the vizier’s city. Today it is a city where you can find on almost every corner a building of cultural historical importance.

Travnik is also one of the most conserved cities in the region of central Bosnia, and is well known by number of mosques and other buildings built in ottoman times.

Travnik is also the birth city of Nobel prized winner Ivo Andric ("the bridge of Drina river") and his birth house is an interesting museum today.
